Typically real estate agents do not deal in residential owner financed transactions. Mostly because houses are not commonly listed with owner financing in the MLS system.
Hopefully this will change since there are so many good buyers out there that cannot qualify for conventional financing. There is always the option of getting a hard money loan, however few have the large down payments required to get a hard money loan.
If I were a hungry real estate agent in today’s market I would learn all about owner financing, then contact expired listings, find our why the property did not sell and encourage the owner to try something different.
There are so many buyers with down payments that fall out, their buyers agents would love to be able to salvage a transaction by showing them an owner financed listing.
